It’s begining to look a lot like Christmas. . .

    December 3rd, 2011 CW-Administrator | 2 Comments »

I slipped my favorite cupcake from Trophy Cupcake & Party into a little red holiday cupcake wrap and topped it off with a cheery note.

I’m going to start a new family tradition! All I need to do is rinse the cupcake wraps under warm sudsy water to remove any buttercream frosting my kids haven’t licked off and store them flat to use again next year!

    What’s your favorite holiday tradition?

bridal shower inspiration: fun, food & flowers

    June 22nd, 2011 CW-Administrator | 1 Comment »

My sister-in-law and I had so much fun putting on this Bridal Shower for my nephew and his bride-to-be. Mary Jo is a fabulous cook with an amazing flair for setting a gorgeous table! Just look at her pickled fiddle head ferns, carrots, asparagus, radishes, and turnips. She kept things simple with buttery green olives, cheese platters, dips and crudités.

Luckily for us, one of my sisters dearest friends, Lucy, of Lucy’s Informal Flowers in Hood River, Oregon provided the flowers. Thank you Lucy! It was sheer pleasure to have such an amazing array of flowers to work with.

The green and white color palette included shades of purple. If you look closely you’ll see English Roses, Spray Roses, white Lilacs, Callas, Helleborus Ivory Prince, Lisianthus, purple Carnations, green Kermit Mums, white Freesia, Hydrangeas, Hypericum, Queen Anne’s Lace, and Pittosporum.

Be sure to check out Lucy’s Wedding Tip of the Week: Flower Talk, Part Three.

    Church Wedding Aisle Decorations

    June 23rd, 2010 CW-Administrator | No Comments »

The wedding aisle flower decorations for this traditional church wedding are arranged in cathyswraps flower vases and hung from the pews with Doey’s pew clips. Post ceremony the wedding flowers were used again as reception centerpieces and given away as party favors to special guests.

After weeks of rain, the sun finally came out in Seattle and streamed in the windows of this beautiful old church. We love the fuchsia roses paired with star gazer lilies.
Thank you Zac for inviting us to stop by and take pictures of your wedding aisle decorations, the fragrance was heavenly!
