My name is Cathy and I’m the creative director behind the Seattle based company, CathysWraps. We make pretty practical vases for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and special event centerpieces.
In the mid 80’s my mother Dolores, fondly known as Doey, invented a pew clip to secure ribbons, bows and flowers to church pews to replace the use of damaging tape and wire.
While my mother enjoys much success with her pew clips for bows, she had developed an oversupply of the ‘plain nursery green’ flower pots. The idea to save brides money by reusing wedding aisle flowers at the reception was great, the pots just needed a finishing touch.
As a graphic designer, I toyed with ways to bring beauty to these pots and set out to create a stylish decorative sleeve. As luck would have it, I found a stash of paper, containing post consumer waste fibers, enabling us to continue our philosophy of being practical, kind to the environment and be fun.
What began as an intention to create something fresh and useful continues to evolve as our customers bring their own creativity to our products. We always welcome suggestions, so please share your ideas and we’ll do our best to incorporate them.
