We added a plain white baking cup and started filling them with nuts, cookies, dipping sauces and chocolates. The kids want to try Jello next.

After weeks of rain, the sun finally came out in Seattle and streamed in the windows of this beautiful old church. Lucky for us, Zac, invited us to come take a few pictures before the wedding. We loved the fuchsia roses paired with the star gazer lilies and the fragrance – pure heaven! Thank you Zac.

Seattle’s Uptown Metropolitan Market floral department created this sweet little garden of flowers with a variety of potted plants in CathysWraps whimsical vases.

Here we used mix-matched glass plates, parfait cups and glasses from a local thrift shop to create tiers of flowers. The glass tiers can be set up ahead of time and the flowers added just before the guests arrive.

Laura and Shawn sent us this picture of their outdoor wedding. The garden setting was naturally beautiful so they didn’t need many flowers. Laura’s mother arranged white hydrangeas in CathysWraps vases, adding ribbon to hang from shepherds hooks and later the wedding aisle flowers were reused as centerpieces and favors.

To  create:
12 CathysWraps Vases
12 white hydrangeas (myrtle greenery optional)
12 white ribbons cut into 24 inch lengths

Nestle the pot into the decorative wrap. Punch 2 holes into both pot & wrap at pre-perforated circles with a hole punch. Set wrap aside to create floral frog by adding tape in a crisscross pattern to the rim of the pot. Trim hydrangeas to approximately 4-6 inches and cut a 1 inch slit into stem for water absorbtion. Arrange. Slip ribbon through both wrap & pot, knot ends and slip over shepherds hook.

Florist Kenda Farnsworth, of Northwest Wedding and Event in Portland, OR shares how to re-create this look. ”I free-formed the flowers into CathysWraps vases by making a clear tape grid on the top of the vase to keep the flowers in place and cut the stems short to fit the depth of the vase. A hand tied bouquet could also work. Do-it-yourself Holiday Centerpieces and Gift Ideas

Dress up 4 inch plants and topiaries in whimsical pots. Add a coordinating tag and you have a super-easy hostess gift. This Red Kalanchoe and Ivy Topiary came from a local nursery and were simply re-potted into one of our pots. Choose from 2 reversible patterns, polka dots or floral, and fold the decorative wrap together. Add a tag and tuck the pot into the wrap.

What You’ll NEED:

One 4 inch potted plant from your local nursery or grocery store.
One CathysWraps pot and decorative sleeve.
One coordinating gift tag, optional.
Handful of moss.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Re-pot your 4 inch holiday plant or mini tree into our pot, wipe away any dirt.

Fold the decorative wrap together, pop open the perforated circle to tie on the gift tag and nestle the pot in the wrap. If you prefer fresh flowers, make a little Mussie Tussie Bouquet, tie off with string or rubber band, trim stems short and add water. Note: Our wraps are water resistant but it’s best to keep them dry.
